Three Shards of Blue

Looking through glass I was finding reference points to relate to forms in space. Blue sections are highlighting the architecture of the Shard as its construction is in tandem anchoring the whole space.

Blue Umbrella

The dominant dome of St Paul’s is a symbol of London. I was interested to feature a moment in time when a person was looking in another direction from this famous landmark of London.

Super Blue Moon

During 30th August, 2023 a Super Blue Moon was in the sky. Appearing larger than usual, as the full moon is closer the earth, I took the opportunity to incorporate the large moon in a geometric setting. A blue moon is not actually blue but its description means two full moons in a month.

Ghost of Battersea Power Station

The imposing structure will remain a landmark seen from Vauxhall Bridge. It is located on the southbank of the Thames being nearest to Chelsea Bridge. Although it was redeveloped in the 21st century it remains a historical monument to London’s past. An Indelible outline by the Thames.

Cheesegrater 04.05.13

The form of this building did relate its quirky title and I emphasised this with the traditional spelling!

I documented two buildings in one as the Gherkin is clearly reflected in the Cheesegrater’s newly placed glass pane.

Blackfriars Bridge 8.59pm

At 8.59pm the bridge’s yellow and orange illuminated sections glowed amongst its dark surroundings. St Paul’s Cathedral remained a constant during this display.
