This is the first structural development of the Tate extension. It takes on a skeletal form that looked fragile in contrast to the original stable Tate chimney.

When buildings are constructed it is interesting to see their form in another state. This building is identified by its angular geometry and was first known as the Switch House and renamed afterwards as the Blavatnik Building.
