Decorated Male

This print is in remembrance of my grandfather, who existed before I was born and served in World War I. My grandfather gained the title of ‘Company Sergeant Major’ in 1918, serving in the London Irish Rifles throughout the war. From my father’s inheritance I received my grandfather’s ‘call-up’ paper mailed to him, as were many others in August 1914, along with his medals. These artefacts have given me a greater insight into The Great War and my grandfather’s life.

Screenprint edition of 12, paper size 30 x 41cm, image size 15.5 x 27.5cm
